Stone polishing experts in gold coast and brisbane

For over ten years, we have earned the respect of the Gold Coast’s and Brisbane’s most reputable hotels, builders, stone suppliers, tilers, and property owners when it comes to marble, limestone, travertine, granite and terrazzo polishing and resurfacing. We aren’t just known for getting the deepest shine physically possible, we can provide the most even satin polish or matte hone.

Natural stone products are bold and eye-catching, but when they have been improperly maintained or neglected then they stand out for all the wrong reasons. At PSR we have extensive experience in ensuring the longevity of your marble, travertine, granite, limestone and terrazzo floors, including… floors, walls, bench tops, tables any shower walls and bathroom fittings, benchtops and table tops and any other stone surfaces you need to brighten up and stand out within your home.

The problem with marble, limestone and travertine is that it is relatively soft compared to porcelain or ceramic tiles. For this reason, natural stone requires maintenance. The good news is that is dosnt matter how bad your stone is, we guarantee we can get it looking as new or better. Our experienced team has spent thousands of hours grinding, honing, polishing, removing scratches, stains and etching from almost every type of stone possible.

Floor Polishing

The floor polishing process is situational but typically involves mechanically scrubbing the floor to remove all debris and contaminants, then refinishing the stone with a heavy floor machine and resin bonded diamond abrasives. We never use diamond impregnated pads even though they are cheaper and easier to use the end result with resin diamond tooling is always far superior. Once all the existing damage is removed, progressively finer diamond abrasives are used to fine hone then pre-polish the floor. Finally, we use a polishing powder to achieve the depth and clarity we are known for. If necessary, the floor sealed to protect the stone from oil and water based stains.

Shone Honing

When a high gloss surface is to difficult to maintain, slippery or you just want an elegant change, honing can be a viable solution. The process is similar to polishing; however, we use more abrasive diamonds followed by an abrasive powder to remove any swirl marks. There are three different honed finishes available; matte, semi-gloss, and satin polish. We also provide textured finished when slip is a significant concern

Benchtops

Benchtops get the most abuse out of any surface. If you are reading this, there is a high probability you have marble benchtops and you are well aware of how delicate they can be. Fear not, we can restore your bench and have it looking as good as the day of installation. Granite is far more resilient than marble but may still need some love. Many professionals will shy away from refinishing granite because it is complicated and difficult to polish. Not us, we have the experience and confidence to exceed your expectations regarding any stone.

Walls

Vertical surfaces are arguably the most difficult and time-consuming part of our business. This doesn’t mean that walls cant be refinished and restored to perfection. The process is similar to what we do on floors but substitute floor machines for handheld machines and include gravity.

Before
After

Scratch, etch, stain removal and repairs.

Accidents happen, wine gets spilled and the surface gets etched, the delivery guy slides the old washing machine out of the way and your floor get scratched, a vase gets knocked over and chips a tile or the new cleaner uses the wrong chemical and damages the finish on your benchtop. We have seen possibly every accident and have been able to fix them all. No matter how deep the scratch or stain, we have a solution to solve your problem.
